Bone Marrow Biopsy Results! YAY!

As hoped with Richard's type of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (with Inversion 16 that 'responds well to Chemotherapy'), Richard is considered to be...

IN REMISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It goes without saying that this does not come as a shock, but yet, brings tears to my eyes at its reality.

He still, again as expected, has to undergo three more rounds of Chemo. They expect he may be done all that by November.

Still a big road ahead, as the way that Chemo effects an individual is cumulative. So, it knocked him on his butt this time, and the next three rounds will treat him even worse. AND... he won't be an in-patient. He'll go home at the end of each day. Since, I will be back to work in September, some of these nauseous drives will no doubt be with the volunteer driver service.

So, please. Send Richard good coping vibes (or prayers or good wishes or good thought) for this next round of Chemo starting on Monday!!!

And until then, celebrate this successful milestone in his journey!

So happy!

PS -
overdue thanks to Sami!!!! - She sent me a hilarious card and a Starbucks card a couple weeks back and I totally forgot to give a 'shout out'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
