YAY! I finally got around to it, thanks to our not-so-summery weather!
Here is the $10 Craigslist find 'before'.
And here is the chair 'after'.
Some black, high gloss, spray paint.
Some free foam acquired off of craigslist.
My dream fabric - not free :(
And voila!
I love it, but Richard thinks it looks like Mrs. Roper.

Hi Sonja! I just saw your chair makeover on Better After and I LOVE it! The fabric you chose is gorgeous! Where did you get it? I'd love to find something similar if you know the name of it. :)
Great job and CONGRATS on the feature!

Thanks! I emailed you back. I got the fabric from Quilt Essentials in downtown Abbotsford, BC, Canada.
I'll try to remember to pop in there tomorrow and see if I can find out the name.
I'll still email you and the others who have asked about the fabric. But in the meantime, here's the link:

I have this same chair (only mine is a gold velour) I got mine for a dollar at a local thrift store and I just love what you have done with yours! I am so inspired to get mine all done up so I can not be embarrassed by it anymore...lol
Thanks! Good luck on your chair!
